Rabbi Oren grew up in Columbus, Ohio and received a degree in English from Rice University. Following college, he moved to Los Angeles to work in the entertainment industry. After several years there, he headed to Jerusalem to begin his rabbinical studies, and was ordained as a rabbi in 2004. He moved to Seattle after serving a large synagogue in Dallas, and is constantly searching for decent Mexican food anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. He lives in Queen Anne with his wife Julie, their two daughters, and his dog Zeke. Josh Furman is a graduate of the University of Washington Business School, and he has worked for Jconnect/Hillel UW since 2007.  Raised in Oregon, Josh is a true northwesterner who loves calling Seattle home. Josh is passionate about creating the most innovative and fresh programs in the Seattle Jewish community, and he is always up for a challenge or exploring something new. Don't hesitate to message Josh if you want to meet up, because he always loves to go out for a cup of coffee or tea!

Rayna grew up in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and received a degree in English and a teaching certificate for grades 6-12 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She started her work as a Hillel professional at St. Louis Hillel at Washington University, and was there for three years (apparently, she's got a thing for schools with "Washington" in their title!) She's excited to be joining the team at Hillel UW and to start exploring the Pacific Northwest after spending most of her life in the flat Midwest. In her free time, Rayna loves checking out live music, writing, and cooking for family and friends. She's really looking forward to eating lots of delicious sushi made with fish caught right off the coast! Message Rayna if you'd like to connect over a cup of coffee.

Born in Oregon, Elise will claim both Portland and Seattle as the cities she grew up in. After a gap year in Israel, Elise received her BA in International Relations from Boston University. Elise has been working in the non-profit world since 2009, and she truly enjoys waking up to work for a cause she feels passionate about. Elise is always up to try any activity once, so she is excited to conduct new and inventive events for young adults in Seattle. A cup of coffee is always on Elise’s mind, so please do not be shy to message Elise and join her for a hot cup of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or whatever suits your fancy!

Danica Bornstein, LICSW, is Hillel's Clinical Therapist. She provides counseling services to young adults, aged 18-32, who identify as Jewish. Danica graduated from UW with a Master of Social Work degree in 1998 and has worked as a private practice therapist, a community educator, and a domestic violence advocate. Her approach to counseling is warm, compassionate and individualized. There are many ways to heal and many ways to make positive changes in your life; she will work with you to clarify what you hope to get out of your time in counseling and decide on an approach that fits you best. Danica has worked with young adults on many issues, but has particular experience with relationship issues, depression and anxiety, sexual orientation and gender identity issues, substance use, and healing from trauma and abuse. Please contact Danica to see if Hillel UW's counseling program may be a helpful resource for you.


Galit Ezekiel

Galit Ezekiel brings over ten years of development experience to her position. She has worked for a variety of nonprofit organizations in the greater Seattle area including United Way, Seattle Repertory Theatre and Eastside Domestic Violence Program. Prior to her nonprofit career, she worked in the corporate sector as a recruiter and buyer. Galit holds a BA in Business Administration from the UW where she was an active Hillel member. When she's not busy raising funds for Hillel, Galit enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Kris began working at Hillel UW over 16 years ago, and since there’s always work to do, she’s still here! She was the Hillel Office Manager from 1991-1997 and returned to coordinate the Capital Campaign from 1999-2004. Since the opening of the new building she has been working with Galit on annual fundraising and stepping in to help coordinate major Hillel programs like High Holidays and Passover. Working part time at Hillel is the perfect job for Kris because she gets to work in a great environment and still have lots of time for her family, volunteer projects and getting outdoors.

Jill McAdams has been working at Hillel at the University of Washington for over 13 years now.  She started as the office manager in the old little brick Hillel building, and then helped move the staff and organization into the new beautiful facility that Hillel now owns and lives in.  She now works for Hillel part-time as the office manager/bookkeeper – job-sharing with Kathy Kripps.  She holds a bachelor's degree in Business/Real Estate from Colorado State University and Jill completed the Nonprofit Management Certificate Program at the University of Washington in 2001. Jill is an avid volleyball player, and loves to hike and explore the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest with her family.  Jill is married and has two children.


Kathy Kripps

Kathy is job sharing with Jill McAdams as Office Manager / Administrator. She grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from Marquette University with a degree in Medical Technology. She moved to Seattle in 1976 and worked in a variety of laboratory jobs which included being Laboratory Manager for Children’s Hospital. In 1993 she “retired” to stay home with her two daughters and just returned to the work force in 2006. While home, Kathy volunteered as a classroom parent, ran a tutoring program, coordinated volunteers and was involved with various PTAs.

Silver grew up in Ohio and moved to Seattle in 2009 after living in Memphis for three years. She has an Associate's Degree in Visual Communications from Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio and a BA in Film and Video Production from The University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee. Her hobbies include painting, video games, traveling and watching movies. Silver enjoys being at Hillel’s front desk, helping the staff with various projects, answering the phones and getting to greet people as they come into the building.

Anna was born in Russia, but grew up in the Seattle area and has a BA in Communications as well as in Russian Language and Literature from the University of Washington. She was Hillel’s Undergraduate President in 1993-94 and after spending 10 years as a Project Manager for several companies in New York City, she returned to her hometown and just couldn’t stay away from Hillel and their gorgeous new building. When she’s not busy making sure the building rentals are running smoothly or making sure Hillel's website is up to date, she enjoys traveling, giving Feng Shui consultations, teaching and practicing yoga and most of all, spending time with her husband and two kids, Zoe and Maxim.

Daniel Bridge served as Rabbi and Executive Director of Hillel UW from 1988-2007.   Since retiring from Hillel, he has served as Interim Manager of Northwest Community Programs at the Student Conservation Association; Organizational Consultant to the Somali Community Services Organization; and Consultant to College Access Now and Senior Services of King County.
