Rabbi Oren Hayon
Greenstein Family Executive Director
(206) 527-1997 x 208
Rabbi Oren grew up in Columbus, Ohio and received a degree in English from Rice University. Following college, he moved to Los Angeles to work in the entertainment industry. After several years there, he headed to Jerusalem to begin his rabbinical studies, and was ordained as a rabbi in 2004. He moved to Seattle after serving a large synagogue in Dallas, and is constantly searching for decent Mexican food anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. He lives in Queen Anne with his wife Julie, their two daughters, and his dog Zeke. Rabbi Oren would love to have a conversation with you about music, movies, technology, or the thirty-five Scrabble words which contain the letter Q but not U. E-mail Rabbi Oren here.

Sigma Alpha Mu Head of Undergraduate Engagement
Rayna grew up in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and received a degree in English and a teaching certificate for grades 6-12 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She started her work as a Hillel professional at St. Louis Hillel at Washington University, and was there for three years (apparently, she's got a thing for schools with "Washington" in their title!) She's excited to be joining the team at Hillel UW and to start exploring the Pacific Northwest after spending most of her life in the flat Midwest. In her free time, Rayna loves checking out live music, writing, and cooking for family and friends. She's really looking forward to eating lots of delicious sushi made with fish caught right off the coast! Message Rayna if you'd like to connect over a cup of coffee.
Jconnect Associate Director

Born in Oregon, Elise will claim both Portland and Seattle as the cities she grew up in. After a gap year in Israel, Elise received her BA in International Relations from Boston University. Elise has been working in the non-profit world since 2009, and she truly enjoys waking up to work for a cause she feels passionate about. Elise is always up to try any activity once, so she is excited to conduct new and inventive events for young adults in Seattle. A cup of coffee is always on Elise’s mind, so please do not be shy to message Elise and join her for a hot cup of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or whatever suits your fancy!

Kris began working at Hillel UW over 16 years ago, and since there’s always work to do, she’s still here! She was the Hillel Office Manager from 1991-1997 and returned to coordinate the Capital Campaign from 1999-2004. Since the opening of the new building she has been working with Galit on annual fundraising and stepping in to help coordinate major Hillel programs like High Holidays and Passover. Working part time at Hillel is the perfect job for Kris because she gets to work in a great environment and still have lots of time for her family, volunteer projects and getting outdoors.
