Interfaith Harmony Week 2016

Monday, February 01 to Friday, February 05

4:30pm to 6:00pm
Hillel UW
4745 17th Ave NE
Seattle WA 98105

Interfaith Harmony Week is here!

What is Interfaith Harmony Week? Interfaith Harmony Week provides a platform—one week in a year—when all interfaith groups and other groups of goodwill can show the world what a powerful movement they are.

It is hoped that Interfaith Harmony Week will provide a focal point from which all people of goodwill can recognize that the common values they hold far outweigh the differences they have, and thus provide a strong dosage of peace and harmony to their communities!

We hope you will join us for a week full of events:

Monday February 1st at 4:00pm (HUB 337):
Ask Big Questions: What Connects Us? Join us for a reflective conversation on what connects all people.

Tuesday February 2nd at 5:00pm (Hillel at the University of Washington, 4745 17th Ave. NE):
Meditations for Peace: Take a break from your hectic day with an exhale - a time to find peace inside and out.

Wednesday February 3rd at 7:45pm (location TBD):
Belief: Join us for a screening of Oprah's documentary on faith-based communities, addressing different expressions of faith and belief in our lives.

Thursday February 4th at 7:00pm (Seattle University):
World Interfaith Harmony Dinner: Enjoy a delicious dinner and hear from 4 speakers from different faith traditions about "What on Earth are we here for?". Register online here: https://www.seattleu.edu/stm/news-events/news/?id=160715
And email elana@hilleluw.org if you'd like to coordinate a ride!

Friday February 5th at 5:00pm (Red Square):
Luminaria Labyrinth Walk: Enjoy a meditative walking labyrinth, illuminated by tea lights.

We can't wait to celebrate Interfaith Harmony Week with you!

*Interfaith Harmony Week is co-sponsored by Muslim Students, Lutheran-Episcopal Campus Ministry, and Hillel UW.
