Peter Beinart Lecture

Thursday, October 23

7:30pm to 8:30pm
Hillel UW
4745 17th Ave NE
Seattle WA 98105

Seattle is excited to host Peter Beinart, one of American Jewry’s preeminent commentators, to address prospects for Israeli-Palestinian peace and increasing divides within Israeli society in the aftermath of this summer’s destructive fighting between Israel and Hamas. Join us for a conversation about how a changing American Jewry relates to a changing Israel and Middle East. "Peter Beinart…raises the tough questions that can't be avoided, and offers a new way forward to achieve Zionism's founding ideals…" – Former US President Bill Clinton Peter Beinart is Associate Professor of Journalism and Political Science at the City University of New York, a Contributor to The Atlantic and National Journal, a Senior Columnist at Haaretz and a Senior Fellow at The New America Foundation. He has published three books, including The Crisis of Zionism in 2012. His most recent writings can be found at Haaretz and The Atlantic. RSVP here Sponsored by Hillel UW, Jconnect, J Street, and New Israel Fund.
