Tu B’Shevat Tree Pruning- Volunteer Opportunity

Sunday, February 05

1:00pm to 4:00pm
Contact: Hillel UW + Kavana Jewish Cooperative
ellie@hilleluw.org

The holiday, Tu B'Shevat, aka "New Year of the Trees" is often celebrated by planting trees. Come join Hillel UW and Kavana Jewish Cooperative, in pruning trees at Piper's Creek Orchard at Carkeek Park. There will be a brief Jewish teaching led by Rabbi Jay LeVine from Kavana followed by pruning trees and snacks!

If you love getting outside and want to celebrate the New Year of the Trees, this is a fun opportunity to spend some time helping the environment. Make sure to wear shoes that can get muddy!

12:30 pm: meet at Hillel (We will be carpooling from Hillel!)
1:00 pm:  arrive at Carkeek Park
4:00 pm: drive back to Hillel
