Part-Time Work for Students

Hillel UW Maintenance

If you’d like a job with a flexible schedule that keeps you on your toes, literally and metaphorically, this is the job for you. A typical shift working Maintenance will include anything from setting up or breaking down tables and chairs for events, straightening furniture in the building, basic maintenance such as replacing lightbulbs, touching up painting and reattaching cabinet doors, and basic cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, taking out garbage as needed, and tidying the outdoor property by picking up garbage on the grounds and running the leaf blower and power washer, etc.

Hours are flexible, determined weekly or monthly based on your schedule and Hillel’s needs. Up to 10 hours/week, with weekend shifts available as-needed. $17.27/hour. If hired, participation in a mandatory training session is required before your first shift.

About Us

Hillel at the University of Washington has a diverse student population, and a rich tradition of community engagement and support. We serve 600-700 undergrads each year, in addition to more than 1,500 graduate students and young adults (21-35) through our award-winning Jconnect program. We have a beautiful 20,000+ square foot building two blocks from campus with a kosher kitchen, gym, library, café, and other gathering spaces of various sizes.
