Sephardic Cooking Fellowship
Join the most delicious learning fellowship of the year! Each session includes learning about Sephardic culture, cooking an authentic vegetarian Sephardic dish, and enjoying the food we have prepared together! Facilitated by members of the Seattle Sephardic Network. Register here.
Dates: Tuesdays, January 21 & 28, February 4 & 11, 5:30-7:00 pm
Jewish Foundations
Learn more about the foundational elements of Judaism. We will explore what the word “Torah” refers to, the Jewish calendar, Shabbat, what it means to keep kosher, Jewish prayer, and more!
The class will include some light homework to allow you to be active participants in your learning and feel more connected to the material. For example, when we study the laws of keeping kosher, you might be asked to explore a Jewish recipe/food you enjoy and how it relates to Jewish dietary laws, Jewish community, and Jewish history. Register here.
Dates: Wednesdays, January 22 & 29, February 5, 12, 19, & 26, March 5 & 12
- 6:00 pm vegetarian dinner
- 6:30-8:00 pm session
** This course (or equivalent) is required for B-Mitzvah cohort students.
Beyond Labels
While no experience can provide all history, information, and context on Zionism and anti-Zionism, this series aims to help students thoughtfully explore a range of Jewish perspectives on the topic. Co-facilitated by Rabbi Lauren and Dafna Muchan Bitton, we will offer space for questions, the exploration of complex ideas, and experimentation with conflicting perspectives, without fear of being judged, vilified, or labelled.
Participants who attend all four sessions receive a $100 stipend.
Dates: Thursdays, January 23, 30, February 6 and 13.
- 5:00 pm: vegetarian dinner
- 5:30-7:00 pm: session

Interfaith Fellowship
Looking for dialogue across difference in a non-judgmental, open space? In this fellowship, share what your religion/faith means to you and how it shows up in your life. We will use the Interfaith America Story Circle model for conversation and close each session with a fun activity. Dinner provided.
