AMERICAN JEWS & ISRAEL IN THE TRUMP ERA: POLARIZATION & PROTEST

Tuesday, November 19

7:00pm to 9:00pm
Kane Hall 110
4069 Spokane Lane
Seattle WA 98195
Contact: UW Stroum Center

In this talk, Dov Waxman, Professor of Israel Studies at Northeastern University, will discuss how the Presidency of Donald Trump has deepened American Jewish divisions over Israel, heightened communal concerns about anti-Semitism, and mobilized a new generation of Jewish activists. As a result, American Jewry's relationship with Israel, and American Jewish politics, is being reshaped.  This event is part of the 2019 Jack and Rebecca Benaroya Endowed Lecture Series in Israel Studies and put on by the Stroum Center for Jewish Studies.
