Jewish Studies at the UW

The Stroum Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Washington offers courses and events that promote the study of Jewish histories, cultures, societies, ideas, languages, and religion. Housed in the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies, the Stroum Center encourages thoughtful engagement with multiple perspectives; participation in open, evidence-based dialogue; and investigation of the full diversity of Jewish experiences and expressions, past and present, using local, global, and comparative perspectives as well as disciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches.

The Stroum Center also offers funding for undergraduates and graduate students to conduct research and study abroad related to Jewish Studies, Sephardic Studies, and Israel Studies.
