Who is the Challah Prince?

Born and raised in Tel Aviv, Idan Chabasov has always been an artist. With a background in professional dancing, video production, animation, art, and PR in the lifestyle-industry, it is now Chabasov’s mission to bring art into the baking world, and to demonstrate the beauty of every single piece of Challah.

Chabasov has been baking this traditional Jewish bread for years for friends and family,  and in the process discovered a world of beauty, spirituality, and personal-growth. But the hobby remained a hobby, until one evening in January 2020. After a breathing and meditation session, Chabasov spontaneously created the “Challah Prince.” There were no great intentions behind the “Challah Prince,” but rather an artistic outlet that allowed Idan to combine his drive for the creative process with his versatile identities.

What started as a small Instagram account had soon become an ever-growing community of art, creativity, positivity, and deliciousness. Particularly during the trying-times of the Covid-19 pandemic, Chabasov has been dedicating himself to this community - sharing his creations and unique ways of braiding the dough, and personally communicating with every single one of his community members. As the “Challah Prince,” it is his role, after all, to help, encourage and uplift, especially during difficult times.

As the community continues to grow, so do Chabasov’s endeavors. Drawing endless inspiration from his community members, Chabasov’s creations have been continuously evolving, adding new facets of creativity, imagination and skill. With new and exciting projects in the works, the Challah Prince is well on his way to spread this delicious masterpiece to every corner of the world.
