What does this history of Anti-Judaism have to do with how we think about Judaism today? How can we know, as we make our ethical decisions in the present, whether we are being truly critical citizens of the world, or merely acting out of historical habit?"
Join us at Hillel UW for an conversation with Professor Nirenberg!
Professor Nirenberg is an expert historian on anti-Judaism, especially the history of anti-Judaism and how it relates to what is happening on many campuses across the US. Professor Nirenberg touches upon the issues in making ethical decisions about Israel, Judaism, and Zionism today, in light of history.
Nirenberg is the author not only of Anti-Judaism: The Western Tradition, but also Neighboring Faiths: Christianity, Islam, and Judaism in the Middle Ages and Today
