In[heir]itance Project: The Genesis Plays

Tuesday, September 27

7:30pm to 9:00pm
Roy Street Coffee and Tea
700 Broadway E
Seattle WA 98102

Are you a Jewish woman in Seattle with a sister/sisters -- or do you know of some?? The InHEIRitance Project (www.inheiritance.org) is looking for you + them! This is not a Hillel UW Event, but rather an incredible initiative within the community that we are supporting!

Coming to Seattle in late September, the inHEIRitance Project team is excited to interview Seattle sisters to help us re-imagine the story of Rachel and Leah as part of a larger ‘Genesis Plays’ initiative; a series of five plays made with five Jewish communities nationwide over the course of three years. Each play is inspired by the narrative of a matriarch or patriarch from the book of Genesis and devised from interactions with participating communities.

We’re eager to learn from Jewish sisters, ages 4 to 104, at several salon-style workshops taking pl...ace all over Seattle from September 27-30th. Your ideas and insights about being a sister, having a sister, and the lives of Rachel and Leah will help us create a multimedia play which will be performed in Seattle in April 2017. Salons are guaranteed to be interesting and fun. :)

This salon will be held on Tuesday, Sept 29 and is geared towards sisters in their early 20s - 30s. (Other times are happening for other age ranges!)

If you are, or know of, Jewish sisters in Seattle who would be interested in participating, (both sisters must be able to attend) please join us by RSVPing to seattle@inheiritance.org.

We can’t wait to ‘play’ with you!
