Preparing a Fallen Soldier’s Beloved Dish: Borekas – Honoring His Memory

In honor of Yom HaZikaron, we will commemorate one of Israel's fallen soldiers, Ronan Chion.

Using his family's recipe, we'll commemorate Ronan's memory by sharing his story and making his favorite dish: borekas. Borekas (Hebrew: בורקס) are a popular baked pastry filled with soft cheese in Sephardic Jewish cuisine and Israeli cuisine.
