Remembering RBG

This is a Hillel International event.

Wednesday, December 16

5:00pm to 6:00pm
Contact: Hillel International

The tension and potential of a Jewish world-view colliding with the seat of power: this is the stuff of Ruth Bader Ginsburg's life, and of Hanukkah. With the guidance of Linda Greenhouse, who knew Ginsburg for over 30 years and wrote her obituary, we will explore this rich story - of feminism, law, politics, and Judaism. And we'll come away with a new appreciation for what ceaseless dedication to an ideal means, through the legacy of one of the 20th- and 21st-century's greatest legal minds.

This event is sponsored by the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale as part of the Slifka Online Salon series, and cosponsored by Yale's Jewish Law Students Association.

Linda Greenhouse is Senior Research Scholar in Law at Yale Law School. She covered the Supreme Court for The New York Times between 1978 and 2008 and writes a biweekly column on law.
