Winter 2026

Learning at Hillel UW takes many different forms – we’re here to support you on your Jewish journey!

No matter your background or beliefs (or lack thereof) – Hillel UW’s cohort-based learning will give you access to richer conversations and connections with amazing peers. We believe in asking big questions and make no claims about the “right” way to experience Judaism. Our job is to provide you time and space to consider the questions and find your own place.

Sephardic Cooking Fellowship

Join the most delicious learning fellowship of the year! Each session will include learning about Sephardic culture, cooking an authentic vegetarian Sephardic dish, and enjoying the food we have prepared at the end of the evening together.

Facilitated by members of the Seattle Sephardic Network. Contact Ellie with any questions.

Days TBA

Registration to come.

Jewish Foundations

Learn more about the foundational elements of Judaism. We will explore what makes up the written and oral Torah, the Jewish calendar, Shabbat, what it means to keep kosher, Jewish prayer, and more!

The class will include some light homework to allow you to be active participants in your own Jewish learning and feel more connected to the material. For example, when we study the laws of keeping kosher, you might be asked to explore a Jewish recipe/food you enjoy and how it relates to Jewish dietary laws, Jewish community, and Jewish history.

Tuesdays
January 13, 20, & 27, February 3, 10, 17, 24,  and March 3
