A Beginner’s Guide to Jewish Religious Practice

Monday, January 28

5:00pm to 6:00pm
Hillel UW
4745 17th Ave NE
Seattle WA 98105
Contact: Rabbi Dana Benson

Ever wondered why we have two Shabbat Candles? Do you feel like you know the 'why' of wearing tefillin but not 'how' to do it? What about having a minyan (10 Jewish adults) to pray? What is all of this about?

Well, it's time to bring all of those questions and be ready to discuss and debate the 'how,' 'what,' and 'why' of Jewish religious practice. Join Rabbi Dana for this bi-weekly study group in which we will go through Isaac Klien's A Guide to Jewish Religious Practice chapter by chapter and discuss the practices and how they impact us as modern Jews.

No prior knowledge needed, just bring yourself!
