Can You Have it All? Balancing Career, Family, Friends, and Personal Time

Thursday, April 30

6:30pm to 8:00pm
Hillel UW
4745 17th Ave NE
Seattle WA 98105

Join Mentor Connect for the opportunity to hear and learn from one of Seattle's female leaders that has balanced family, career and Jewish life, and the sacrifices made along the way.

Cindy Strauss, the Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for Providence Health & Services and Swedish Health Services. Cindy began her health law career at Davis Wright Tremaine in Seattle. In 1989, she joined Providence Health System where she served as Senior Attorney and then Associate General Counsel. Cindy moved to Swedish Health Services in 1999, where she served as Vice President/Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. Cindy graduated from the University of Washington and the Cornell University Law School (magna cum laude).  Cindy is a Seattle native and in her spare time, Cindy enjoys spending time with her husband, and keeping up with her three sons.

Free and open to all, but limited seating, so RSVP as soon as possible to guarantee your seat.  Light appetizers, drinks, and dessert will be served  prior to the discussion.

Mentor Connect is a collaboration between Hadassah, Hillel UW, and Jconnect Seattle that connects students and young adults with community mentors. As a part of this program there are a series of speakers and panels open to the entire community that are designed to explore leadership, the meaning of success, and Jewish values.  This discussion will explore how to be successful while maintaining a work/life/family balance.
